Joe Edwards is the driving force behind the revitalization of The Loop, designated "One of the 10 Great Streets in America" by the American Planning Association. Nationally renowned restaurant and music club Blueberry Hill was the first of a new era of unique owner-operated businesses in the area. His subsequent attractions include the beautiful Tivoli Movie Theatre, the non-profit St. Louis Walk of Fame, The Pageant concert nightclub, the Pin-Up Bowl, and the sensational Moonrise Hotel and Eclipse Restaurant. Joe also has renovated numerous historical buildings and encouraged one-of-a-kind specialty shops, restaurants and cultural institutions to make The Loop their home. After spending several years learning at some of St. Louis' finest restaurants, Maurice found a home at Blueberry Hill where he continued to hone his skills in the culinary arts. As a chef, Maurice creates dishes that are both healthy and fresh but not lacking in flavor. With Maurice's extensive background in both catering and dining service he has proven an excellent trainer and is continually helping to educate the next generation of great chefs. Maurice has been designated the official staff cheerleader by the service staff. Having already spent eleven years with proprietor Joe Edwards, Maurice is looking forward to whatever challenges the Eclipse will bring.

Wes Johnson is a food junkie, a complete food junkie. He has spent the last fifteen years traveling across the United States perfecting his craft and sampling the best flavors America and its residents have to offer. Having found his way back to his home state, Wes set to work preparing dishes that combine the gourmet food of his travels with the comfort food of his youth in a delicious and whimsical way. After spending the last few years working at The Scottish Arms and Shaved Duck, Wes is excited to get to cooking at Eclipse... in his shorts.

Claire Robberson

Claire Robberson is a proud St. Louis native and a graduate from Forest Park community college. She has had the privilege of working at Dierberg's markets, Westborough Country Club and Sarah's Cafe and Bakery. St. Louis Best Bridal Magazine featured one of the many wedding cakes she has decorated. She has a passion for detail and loves experimenting with new ingredients and is excited to create memories for her guests of Eclipse and Moonrise. Claire can often be found eating a sheet cake in the kitchen with no hands.

Anthony Baker

Saint Louis born, Anthony comes to us after modest beginnings to a culinary career. He is now nearing two decades of polishing his craft under a handful of world renowned executive chefs; in the mid-west, European Relais et Chateaux, stints onboard passenger vessels and Private Chefing. His experience has afforded a well traveled and even more remarkably rounded training in a number of cuisines and settings but with a passionate forte in Classical French preparation with more contemporary finishing.
We welcome him and are very pleased to introduce him as our newest member and Late Night Dining Chef at Eclipse Restaurant in Moonrise Hotel.

Our early morning champion, Birch prides himself on cleanliness and being a friendly face when you wake up. Drop in on Sundays and Birch will happily give you a tour of our famous bloody bar.

Jason Reed

Jason's experience comes to us from the town of Columbia, Missouri. As a tenured bar manager, he helped to introduce the people of Columbia to the cocktail scene. Jason strives daily to improve his skills as a mixologist while priding himself on speed and being a friendly ear behind the bar. He has honed his skills with over ten years of bar and management experience and we are happy to have his expertise on our team. Come visit him on the Rooftop Terrace Bar in the summer months.

Born in Corsica, France, Manuel brings a deep passion for wine, food, and quality of life. Constantly improving the way our staff exudes hospitality, the only thing he cares about more is a great glass of wine. With over seven years experience in the industry and a lifetime of wine knowledge learned from firsthand experience and diligent study “Manny” has shot to the top of his field and his wine list reflects that.
